Week 15: Monday, November 26th and Wednesday, November 28th
Grade 1 is working on decoding short vowel a sounds while grade 2 worked on writing a letter to Santa Claus for Christmas. For this writing activity, I asked grade 1 student to join as well because it's always nice to have both speaking and writing activities altogether.
Week 14: Monday, November 19th and Wednesday, November 21st
Continuously, grade 1 student is practicing on decoding short "vowel a" sounds while grade 2 students are working on constructing sentences. Moreover, on Wednesday, because it was the day before Thanksgiving, students had opportunities to write and present what they were thankful for.
Week 13: Monday, November 12th and Wednesday, November 14th
Starting this week, I have divided my lab into two sections: first half with grade 1 and the other half with grade 2. Grade 1 student has started learning "decoding skills for short a vowel sound." Meanwhile, grade 2 students have started creating their own sentences and stories. Afterward, they do have to present to everyone which helps their speaking skills and their confidence in speaking in English.
Week 12: Monday, November 5th and Wednesday, November 7th
Welcome back! Since this week is the first week of Winter Season for both students and teachers, I have reviewed some English games with them. I hope this game helped them to recognize their letters and its sounds as well.
