In this week, students finalized their final draft of their personal narrative writings. They worked on their cover page by adding pictures, coloring and write their titles with their best-handwriting. In addition, because they finished their writings, we had a celebration on Thursday. Each students came up and shared their story with their friends and also shared things they liked about their friends' writings. Afterward, we had a celebration by watching the show "Arthur writes a story" and eating some pop-corns! Way to go 2nd graders. Let's keep it up for our Term 2 writing!
Week 8: October 8th to 12th
This week, students were busy editing their writing pieces so they can publish their writing by next week. Students were given with a small "editing" booklet to help them find mistakes in their writings. Once they were done, they started writing their final drafts with their best handwriting. They will continue this next week so they can publish their work and celebrate their hard work on Thursday!
Week 7: October 1 st to 5th
This week, students worked on revising their personal narrative writings. Before that, students had chances to share with their partners about what they like and what to fix for their partners' writing. This helped them to think which part of their writing pieces they needed to change to make it better. Lastly, If you would like to see their photos, please log-in seesaw and check.
Week 6: Chuseok Break - No school
Week 5: September 17 to 21
In term 1, Grade 2 have been writing their "personal narrative writing." These students come up with their most happiest time in their life and began writing. On Thursday, September 20th, students had to add a "dialogue" in their story. Dialogue is what characters say which means that it is the conversation/talking part in the story. Writing is a long-journey for everyone where it takes lots of time. Even though there are a lot of work to do, I was happy to see these students worked hard on their writing pieces.
