Students had their writing celebration where they shared their opinion writing with their classmates and watched a movie afterward. Good job everyone!
Week 23: February 19th to February 22nd
This week has been their final revising and editing week where they had to make changes in their writing. They had one-on-one teacher time and they had chances to give feedback to their friends' writings.
Week 22: February 12th February 15th
I hope you enjoyed your break! After Lunar break, students have been working on revising by adding details or more examples in their reasons.
No School: Korean Lunar Year Break
Week 21: January 29th to February 1st
Students were working on reasons and examples during this week as well. In addition to, for those who are done with this work, they had chances to help other friends who were having difficulties with.
Week 20: January 22nd to January 25th
During this week, students came up with three reasons and examples that support their opinions. They did great job of coming up with three reasons to support their opinions, however, they had difficulties with coming up with the examples. Regardless of their difficulties, they tackled them and came up with their own examples. Good job, everyone!
Week 19: January 15th to January 18th
Students have picked their opinions for term 3 writing. We had several different opinions such as "My mom is the best person in the world" or "Bumblebee is the best movie" and etc. In our class, we began our writing step-by-step which means that we work on per paragraph each one to two days until students fully understand the concept.
Week 18: January 8th to January 11th
Welcome back students! We had a long Christmas break and now we are back to school. In term 3, students will be learning how to write an "Opinion Writing." This week, since we all came back from the break, we had to refresh our mind into learning mindset. This week, students learned about what an opinion writing is. They had chances to see what's the difference between non-opinion writing and opinion writing pieces.
